Well it happened down in Roswell about fifty years ago,
When people saw something worth a look
What they said was there were strangers flying high above the hills,
But the Air Force said we think you were mistook.

Now the strangers had big black eyes and a skin of pale green,
But the Air Force said that simply could not be.
What they saw was just a balloon of the weather tracking kind.
Any other explanation was a dream.

Oh, USA, when will you pay, for all the things you carefully don't say.
We are not a stupid people, we can handle all you issue.
Why don't you just come and tell us straight?

Now fifty years have gone by and the story's something else
And again they have another crazy claim.
They say it was dummies, but the story's much too lame,
And to me it sounds like just more of just the same.

It's just another verse in that crazy same old song
Telling us what we see is just ain't so.
But when we look at congress, we see a lack of progress
They are trying to deny us what we know.

Oh, USA, when will you pay, for all the things you carefully don't say.
We are not a stupid people, we can handle all you issue.
Why don't you just come and tell us straight?
